Craft Salsa, Cocktails & Mocktails


SUMMER BREAK Craft Salsa

  • 22 oz Locust Cider Watermelon
  • 1 Alchemy Pops Watermelon Popsicle OR 1 cup chopped watermelon
  • 1 Original (or HOT) Crack Salsa Spice Pack
  • 28oz can of Diced Tomatoes
  • 1/2-1 C peeled cucumber 
  • 10 stalks of cilantro
  • 2 jalapenos
  • 1/8 C lime juice 

Boil the Watermelon Cider and watermelon for at least 15min (to boil off alcohol and get rid of fizz). Set to the side to cool **I tend to do this the day or night before

In a blender, combine the remaining ingredients and 1/3 cup of the Watermelon syrup (save the rest to be use in your beverages!) Pulse to blend! **Be sure to not over-pulse!  Will make close 2.5-3 pints of salsa.

WATERMELON CUCUMBER Margarita

  • 1.5 oz Tequila
  • 2 oz of Watermelon Syrup (You made this for the Craft Salsa above!)
  • 1/4 C lime juice
  • 1/4 cup watermelon pulp (I use a few spoonfuls of mushed watermelon)
  • 1-2 oz. Topo Chico Lime
  • Halo Del Santo rimming salt & Watermelon Wedge for garnish

In a shaker add Tequila, Watermelon syrup, watermelon mush and lime juice with ice. Shake well and strain over ice in a salt rimmed (I love Halo del Santo salt!) glass. Top with Topo Chico and garnish with watermelon wedge! 

MOCKTAIL

  • 2-4 oz of Watermelon Syrup (You made this for the Craft Salsa above!)
  • 1/4 C lime juice
  • 1/3 cup watermelon pulp (I use a few spoonfuls of mushed watermelon)
  • 2-4 oz. Topo Chico Lime
  • Garnish: slice of cucumber, slice of jalapeno, slice of lime; Halo Del Santo rimming salt (if desired) and your favorite Watermelon popsicle!

In a collins glass, combine Watermelon syrup, watermelon mush and lime juice. Fill glass with ice and top with Topo Chico. Garnish as desired (I love Alchemy Pops Popsicles!
